It will probably not come as a great surprise, but the organisers of this years Shaftesbury Food and Drink Festival and Gold Hill Cheese Races due to be held on May 3rd have made the decision to postpone the event for the foreseeable future.
This decision has not been made lightly as we are acutely aware that many of our traders who rely on these events for their livelihood are going to have a very hard year.
We will be closely monitoring the ongoing situation, if we can reschedule the Festival for this autumn we will do all we can to make it happen.
Congratulations to Stephen Armstrong for winning the window competition. Our thanks to Karen at Cranbornes for superbly running the competition and for the support of all the High Street retailers for generously donating the Hamper goodies. Please see attached correct answers for the window competition...well done to everybody who took part, we had 14 correct entities.. a big thank you to all the shops for taking part and kindly donating to the hamper .. and congratulations to Stephen Armstrong for winning... ...
